AGGIE MOM CAMP 2007 –
"Touched by the Aggie Spirit"
This is the theme for the 2007 Aggie Moms Camp, to be held November 9-11 at the College Station Hilton.

FIRST YELL WEEKEND
This year FIRST YELL will occur the weekend of August 31- September 1 in conjunction with the Texas A&M football game with
Montana
State. The featured event of the weekend will be a performance by comedians
Colin Mochrie and
Brad Sherwood on Friday, August 31, 2007 in Reed Arena.
Opening the 2007 performance will be the
Singing Cadets,
Aggie Wranglers, and the
Johnny Cash Cover Band. In addition to the show, the weekend includes the Cook-off Classic BBQ, which will be held before the A&M vs.
Montana
State football on September 1 from 2:00 – 5:00 on the
Rudder
Plaza. Great BBQ prepared on-site by cooking teams of former students will be served for only $8.00.
Tickets for the general public will go on sale July 28 at Reed Arena, the Kyle Field Box Office, or by calling 888-99-AGGIE. Tickets will also be available via the internet at http://www.12thmanfoundation.com
MAROON OUT SHIRTS!
Aggie Moms have the opportunity to pre-order Maroon Out shirts!
Once again, the shirts are $5 each, and they come in sizes Youth Medium to Adult XXL.
Anyone interested in purchasing a Maroon Out shirt in advance may e-mail Chris the quantity and size desired no later than August 16.
You can also order at the August meeting. We will submit our order on August 17, and they will be available for pick-up at the Fall Federation meeting.
COOKBOOKS ARRIVING IN SEPTEMBER
The new cookbook will arrive in September! If you have not preordered, we are extending the special price of $20 if you preorder now. Once the cookbooks arrive, the cost will be $25. If you need the books shipped to you, there will be a $5 charge for each book shipped. You can download an order form at

Kelly ’07 and Jaret ’06 Rabon
(daughter and son-in-law of Aggie Mom Celeste Thomas) are graduating August 10 and both have jobs in
San Antonio.
Kelly is graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4 Point GPA from the
school of
Applied Exercise Science and Jaret is graduating with a degree in Construction Engineering.
Landon Brockman
(Aggie Mom Nancy Brockman) graduated in May '07 with a degree in Ag Economics, began his career in June. He was hired by Warren CAT for their Leadership and Development Team. For the first nine months he will be "homeless", traveling between
Oklahoma and
Texas going through a training process for them. At the end of the nine months
Warren, along with Landon, will decide what area and location he will be permanently located.
Liz Wardlaw
(Aggie Mom Jane Wardlaw)
will be marrying Ryan Albert next May;
wedding will be at
Horseshoe
Bay.
Jenna Escue ‘06
(Aggie Mom Janice Escue) is engaged to Ben Lawrence. Ben is a doctoral student in Mechanical Engineering at A&M. They will be married in
San Angelo on December 29 at Immanuel Baptist.
Jessica Escue '04
(Aggie Mom Janice Escue)graduated from Texas Tech School of Law in May. She finished #18 out of 236 in her class. She's relieved that she has taken the Bar, but now has to wait until November for the results.

A & M Mothers’ Club
Membership Meeting
May 17, 2007
The regularly scheduled monthly meeting of the
San Angelo A&M Mothers’ Club was held at
Trinity
Lutheran
Church.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 by President Suzy Mears with a prayer.
A motion to approve the minutes of the previous month’s meeting as presented was made by Judie Williams and seconded by Jet McGarvey.
Motion passed.
Sherry Flanary presented a financial report.
The current balances are:
Checking – $12,746.56
3 mo. CD – $10,187.45 (renews August 1)
Presales for the cookbook total
$3005.00 to date.
Sponsorships total $3295.00 to date.
The financial records will be filed for audit with Suzette McIntyre.
Suzy Mears recognized past presidents and life members in attendance.
She also thanked the board members and committee chairmen for the accomplishments of the year.
Lanee Warrick reported that we will continue to take preorders and sponsorships for two weeks
for the cookbook.
The cover artwork should be ready June 1.
Judie Williams gave a scholarship report.
There were 22 applicants for the endowed scholarship.
Cameron Faubion was awarded the endowed scholarship.
The club scholarships were awarded to:
Courtney Faubion, Travis Wanoreck, Allison Woodul, Brian Sansone, and Kelly Johnson. There were 13 applicants for the club scholarships.
May and August graduates were recognized.
May graduates are Jenna Barnard ’07, Landon Brockman ’07, Amy Combest ’06, Will Fortin ’07, Joy Mears ’07, Ashley Hall ‘07, and Jared Ripple ‘07.
August graduates are Matthew Glasscock ’07, Aaron Gregg ’07, Kelly Rabon ‘07 and Jaret Rabon ‘06.
There have been 21 graduates this year.
Planning has begun for the China Luncheon in October.
Suzy introduced Melba Cox who gave a brief history of her experiences at Texas A & M and
in Aggie Moms.
She then installed the officers for the 2007-2008 year.
Joy Mears won the Lucky Loot.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00.
