PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Another school year approaches its’ end, and with it the end of another year of Aggie Moms. In April we heard Bill Johnson share with us some of his memories of being a cadet at A&M, as well as his Muster experiences through the years. As we listened, Bill confirmed what we already knew: Aggies are branded deep!
Please join us for a special meeting on Thursday May 18, 2006, as we install our new officers, share a salad supper, and listen to a program on the Traveling Aggies. Dr. Jennifer Bohac will present information on touring opportunities with this group. Former Aggie Mom President Binnie Dierschke will join us and perform our officer installation.
We hope you will join us as we wind up another year, and open the door on the year ahead.
This is my final newsletter and my final meeting as your president. Suzy Mears did such a great job coordinating our programs, particularly our Singing Cadets concert this year, that I know she will continue to serve you next year as President with her characteristic energy, enthusiasm, and humor. I have enjoyed the opportunity to serve you and this organization this year. I hope you have made some new friends this year, and found ways to serve our students, the university, and this club. I know I have! Thank you for the opportunity to serve you this year. It is in giving that we receive, and in giving this year of service, I have been more than amply rewarded with your friendship, encouragement, love, and support. I have made many marvelous memories this year, and you are part of them. Thanks for being there.
Gig ‘em,
Nevie Lacy

NEW AGGIE MOM COOKBOOK
Over the next year San Angelo Aggie Moms will be putting together a new cookbook with the delivery date scheduled for January 2007. This will give us plenty of time to get the recipes typed in, proofread, and submitted to the publisher. We will have time to proof again once the book is delivered before taking it to Boutique in April of 2007. The main theme for this cookbook will be occasions and we will also feature favorite family menus. We have narrowed down our categories to the following:
Fall Feasts and Festivals – pretty much self explanatory
Girls Night Out – Bunko, Bridge, Aggie Mom Sleepovers, Meetings, etc.
When They All Come Home – Holidays, Family Reunions, Celebrations such as Christenings, Graduation, Birthdays, etc.
Showers and Brunches – Weddings, Showers, Brunches, Coffees, and Teas
Tailgating and Bowl Parties – pretty much self explanatory
If anyone would like to submit an entire menu for one of the dividers listed above, we will be charging $25 per menu submitted. You can put as many recipes as you would like at no charge. For more information on this, please contact Lanee Warrick at 484-3005 laneewarrick@aggienetwork.com or Debbie Lisoski at 469-3935 dlisoski@saisd.org.
