Well, for our children, for ourselves... and to network.
There is almost always someone who's been through the same thing (been
there) and knows what to do (done that) and who can help
(SOS). We meet as a whole once per month at Trinity Lutheran
Church and enjoy a wide variety of programs, which provide us with information
that opens up a whole world of possibilities that you can then hand
down to your student. It may take a year or two, but your child eventually
comes to realize that you just might know more about some realm of the
university system than he or she does (happiness is feeling smug
occasionally...).
And we eat! Yes-- at every meeting!
This group loves to be fed with anything we didn't have to cook!!
And we communicate. By word of mouth and monthly
reminder cards. You will know what's going on at A&M (you
surely didn't think your child would tell you, did you?)
and what's going on within the club.
And we enjoy fellowship and fun with "goody
bags" and a huge garage sale... and trips to Aggieland of course!
